Some lines I wrote in moments of solitude... depicting the nostalgia I had when in US..
Missing my homeland... Till the time I was in India, never really understood why anyone would miss his motherland, but since I have been here in U.S. I have been counting days to be back in India... the feeling of being in your country gives a sense of security... my trip to US has made me understand the true meaning of the word "countrymen"... hope I remember it even after I get back to India... Another notable thing is about the hatred between Indians and Pakistanis we share back in Indian Sub continent. But the moment you step outside, the feeling disappears and now we all belong to the Indian Sub continent and now you see each other with an affection... affection which arises due to common understanding...
My Stupid Musing...
(Please bear with it.)

Stupid that I am...

Trip to Goa
We (me and my wife) went to Goa on 16th, 17th and 18th of Jan. We stayed at the GTDC resort overlooking Calangute residency. We reached goa by sleeper volvo of "sanjay raj" travels from Pune. The journey took nearly 10 hours.
The bus left us near Kadamba Bus stand in Panaji. from there we took a local bus to Calangute beach. The buses charge a nominal fare of 10 Rs / person. Once on calangute residency we took a "Honda Activa" on hire @ Rs 200 / day. On the activa we went to our hotel accomodation. We kept our luggage in the room and went out to explaore calangute and rest of beaches.
We went to the following beaches: calangute, baga, anjuna, vagator, candolim and sinquelim. We drove the activa about 140 kms in 2 days.
I personally found calangute and baga to be too crowded. More so with typical bachelors always keen in peeping into others privacy. I found Anjuna and Vagator to be the best beaches. In vagator after walking North for a lot of time we came to a very serene beach, without much noise no water sports allowing us to enjoy the nature and play with water undisturbed.
We had amazing lunch at Jiya's "Pure veg restaurant and Juice Bar" and "Souza Lobo". Jiya's is located in the market area near Calangute Beach, while Souza Lobo is situated on the beach itself. Souza Lobo is a great place for evening candle light dinner, great atmosphere, Tables are layed on the beach sand and get to eat some of the best prepared dishes sitting just next to the the sea.
We had an experience of extreme bad service by waiters of "The plaintain Leaf". Hence wont suggest anyone to go there.
sunsets are just too beautiful in Goa especially from the Vagator beach. Here's one of the pics of Sunset I took at the vagator beach:
Someother atractions of Goa include cheap wine, vodka and cashew nuts. To give you some insight ... 1 Kg of Kajus approx. 400 rs Kg in delhi while in Goa it's around 250 rs / Kg. A 60 ml peg of smirnoff will cost you somewhere around 70 bucks in Goa while 140 bucks elsewhere.
